The Roman Baths

Bathing was very important for everyone in ancient Roman culture . Men were taking their bath together all naked. Women took their bath naked as well, at different times.

They all followed a specific routine:
First they went to The Atrium. The Atrium was a very large hall ;
Then they went to the Apodyterium and frigidarium. The Apodyterium was a hot room and the Frigidarium was a cold room.
Then they went to the Tepidarium and finally they went to the Laconicum; The Laconicum was where everyone was found talking.

When they were built, the Roman baths were a public place but now they are a museum.
